Angels in Snow

Angels in Snow
The Snow Flake
Have you ever caught a snowflake on your glove and really looked at it?
If you did you saw an amazing crystal shape so intricate you couldn’t believe your own eyes – something so delicate and precise created on its way down from the heavens. Water crystalized by the cold temperatures to create a snowflake falling by numbers so great we can only measure it by the number of feet that have fallen to the ground.

We can’t comprehend the magnitude of what is actually happening, so we simply accept. We don’t question because if we did we would know – something else is going on here.
We would know, we are not alone.
There are wonderful things to behold in truly seeing a snowflake. This winter, stop and catch a snowflake on your glove. Look at the intricate detail and realize it was not created by an artists’s pencil, nor by an engineer’s mathematical mind, but by a Creator so artistic and so mathematical as to go unnoticed by us. We don’t fall on our knees giving thanks to this Creator who still gives us the beauty of a snowflake with the same love as He creates our bodies, the spinning earth, and the warming sun. This Creator fills the atmosphere with air for us to breath – to live. And, this Creator gives us angels in everything so that we may experience His love in a way we can feel and even touch in our waking lives.
See the snowflakes all around you in the ice you make, in the water you drink, and in the food you consume. Our bodies are made up of water – imagine the snowflakes that are present in our own bodies. Just because we can only see snowflakes when they crystalize in freezing temps, doesn’t mean they aren’t ever present in their water state.

The snowflake represents the beauty in all of us – the ‘before’ to what is our inevitable ‘after.’
We are all as beautiful in the eyes of God. So different like each snowflake and we are visible to His eyes – each one of us, an angel in the snow.
Today, know that you are as unique as a snowflake and that God sees you and loves you and knows that even though you don’t recognize yourself, He does. Imagine yourself as He sees you and be grateful for all the snowflakes that you meet.
While snowflakes don’t last and melt soon after they hit our glove, they have not disappeared forever. They evaporate into the air and wait until they become rain and nourish the earth and are evaporated once more, until one day they become the most beautiful design ever created; a snowflake once again.
We too don’t last forever in this current form, but we don’t disappear when we die. We evaporate into the ethers and become rain until one day we return as a beautiful, perfectly designed snowflake.

May you know your worth today and everyday.
We are creations so beautiful and created with such love that we need only acknowledge ourselves with one fleeting thought and God is so happy, He creates more things for us to love.
Our hearts are one.
All my best,
Lisa
