Ten Best Ways to Connect with Angels at Christmastime

#1: Sit in Stillness

Close your eyes and sit in a comfortable position. Envision a snow covered mountainside with hues of light blue reflecting off the sunlight. Imagine yourself sitting in a warm setting overlooking this beautiful vista. The wind gently blows and you hear the whispers of your angels on the breeze. Sit quietly and listen – what do your angels say?
#2: The Messages that come to you will always be Good.

Positive messages about your value to the world. Believe in those good messages. They are exactly what your angels want you to know.
#3: Go out into the world and share the goodness your angels reminded you about.

Smile at strangers. Think loving thoughts about family members and friends. Ask the angels to bless those whom you disagree with and be kind.
#4: Turn off Social Media

Instead of scrolling through reels or reading other people’s posts, put down your phone or shut off your computer. Walk away and find something better to occupy your time. Read an uplifting story (they are out there) or write in a journal for ten minutes.
#5: Let go of Anger

Others will hurt us with their words or prejudices but it is up to us to let the resentment go. We are not what others think – we are what we think and by letting go of anger we release ourselves from the pain. Simply say to yourself, when the angry thought enters your mind, “I let that go.”
#6: Stay true to yourself but not your beliefs

You have some beliefs that are not your own. Maybe your father thought something was not good and constantly preached about it in your home growing up. Somewhere along the line you adopted that belief and you think you believe it. In a quiet moment try to recall why you dislike something or someone. Is it something you felt on your own or was it put there by someone else’s belief? If so, see that thing with new eyes – your eyes and start to create your own belief about it. What happens might surprise you.
#7: Hug more

When you meet someone either for the first time or someone you know well, hug them in greeting instead of keeping your distance. We got away from touch during Covid-19 but we need to get back to our natural propensity for human touch. It is our true nature and when we connect physically with others we innately know all is well. If you cannot hug because it isn’t appropriate for the situation, shake the person’s hand and make eye contact.
#8: Pray

Take a few moments out of your day to pray. Prayer is different for everyone and some may not know how to pray. Prayer is not a formal memorized set of words. Prayer is a conversation with God. A moment of gratitude for all that is. Do not judge yourself on whether you are doing it right. Simply stop thinking random thoughts. Be present in the moment and say, “thank you.” You can begin there.
#9: Know that your life is Holy

Holiness is a word that denotes something to be revered and honored. Your life is to be honored because you are living and this is the gift. It is not what you have or what you’ve accomplished. It is simply that you are here. Cherish this gift.
#10: Be Present

Be in the present moment. Do not think of the past because there is nothing there for you except the love you gave or the love you received. Do not worry about the future for it will take care of itself. Your worries do nothing to prevent the future from happening. Eternity is now. Where you are right now. Your breath and your beating heart are the present moment. Know this moment and you will know you are eternal.
May the blessings of Christ be with you all through this Christmas Season.
All my best,
